The frame spar
is TIG welded
all the way
around the
frame.
This is where I'll start
rebuilding, trans pulled
and frame ready to cut
out. I've already cut the
fender spars off.
The arm is trial fit to see
what spacers are going to
be needed on the left.
Zodiacs didn't work.
New needle bearings and seal are installed into the new main
and output shaft assemble. No need to press bearings in if
you simply freeze the bearings. Then you can just push them
in by hand. A light coat of assembly lube will insure long life.
The AME 14 degree front end kit went in so well. The
hardest part was getting the neck races out without scarring
up the neck. A block is pressed in and the new trees bolt to
it. You couldn't ask for a better group to deal with.

Lee's 100th anniv.
He chose a Carollini fat bar with a PM controls & switch setup. To this I added
hidden wiring, braided steel brake line and throttle cables. The OEM connectors
were used to keep the Hogs wiring simple and clean. The PM controls not only look
great, they function as original. PYO grips and mirror finish the hand cut look.
The V&H Bigshots are graceful and completely change the attitude of the bike.
They make great power with the Power Commander and remap that I did.
We added some Arlen Ness lowered shock linkages to really set the stance right.
Now we have a huge table full of parts that will transform the nice bike into a
radical ride. Lee chose A Zodiac wide tire kit with a new frame spar and extended
transmission output shaft. (BE WARNED, THERE ARE NO
INSTRUCTIONS!)This will be holding a huge Predator RC wheel, pulley-rotor and
300 tire. Up front He picked an AME 14 degree fork kit with 4" extended tubes and
chrome smoothed fork legs that will hold a 21" Predator wheel. The forward controls
are a combination of the PYO Diamond Pegs and Supreme Legends Tribal forward
controls.
